Municipality of Arkadion authority is located in Vanato. Vanato is located in the middle-east part of the municipality. The provincial main-road of Zakynthos-Volimes passes through Vanato and interconnects with other provincial roads that lead to the touristic resort of Planos (Tsilivi). In Vanato a visitor shall enjoy a variety of sights and tastes among gardens, raisins, wine and olive-groves; given the fact that is Vanato is a part of Kambos (plains) of Zakynthos. The region of Vanato was formerly famous about its beautiful churches and mansions of the old, that embellished the whole area. Unfortunately, the Earthquake of 1953 ruined a grand part of this village also. In the village, operate the Elementary and High School of Kambos, serving the local educational needs.
